Questions
Is CoastMath really free?
Every planning and analysis feature is free, including Monte Carlo, Roth conversions and tax projections. The free plan keeps one plan, editable for 7 days from when you create it; after that it’s read-only but still projects. Premium ($99.99/yr or $29.99/mo) keeps plans editable and adds more plans, duplicates and downloads. The open-source version is free to run on your own computer with no plan limits.
Can I import my Boldin plan?
Yes, on both tiers. CoastMath reads Boldin’s Summary CSV. The CSV holds forecast values rather than inputs, so the import is a snapshot: it starts from one year’s ending balances, and each later year’s income and spending becomes a fixed amount. Contributions, property, debts and Roth history need setting up afterwards.
Will my numbers match Boldin’s?
Not exactly. Taxes, withdrawals and returns in the CSV are Boldin’s results, so CoastMath recalculates them with its own engine and your chosen rates.
Does CoastMath offer financial advisors?
No. CoastMath is software for planning on your own. Premium adds client workspaces for planners who manage other households.
