Questions

Is CoastMath really free?

Every planning and analysis feature is free. The free plan keeps one plan, editable for 7 days from when you create it; after that it’s read-only but still projects with current tax figures. Premium ($99.99/yr or $29.99/mo) keeps plans editable and adds more plans, duplicates and downloads. The open-source version is free to run on your own computer with no plan limits.

Can I import my ProjectionLab plan?

Yes, on both tiers. CoastMath reads a ProjectionLab JSON backup. It imports household details, account balances and cost basis, salary, pension and Social Security, recurring expenses and fixed assumptions. Property, debts, withdrawal strategies and custom curves need setting up afterwards.

Will my numbers match ProjectionLab’s?

Not exactly. An import carries inputs, not results; CoastMath calculates its own growth, taxes and withdrawals, so a projection can differ even when the inputs match.

Does CoastMath have an iPhone app?

Yes. The native iPhone app and the web planner use the same account and plans. ProjectionLab is a web app you can add to the home screen.
