Your plans belong to the account you signed in with, and each sign-in method is its own account unless you’ve linked it. When plans seem to be missing, the usual cause is signing in with a different method than before, such as Google instead of Apple. The next most common causes are an archived plan and still viewing the read-only sample.

The web sign-in page offers Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google and Email a sign-in link. Your first sign-in creates your account; after that, the same method opens the same account.

  • Email link. Open the link on the device you requested it from. On another device CoastMath asks for your email again. An expired or used link says so; request a new one.
  • Apple. If you chose to hide your email, Apple gives CoastMath a private relay address. That account is still found by your Apple ID, not by the address.
  • Linking. Once signed in, the session menu offers Link Apple sign-in, Link Google sign-in or Link email sign-in for the methods you haven’t linked. A linked method opens the same account from then on.

When you aren’t signed in, the planner shows a sample plan labeled Read-only sample. You can open every view and editor, but any change asks you to sign in, and nothing is saved. Signing in leaves the sample and opens your own plans; none of the sample’s data carries over.

You seeCheckThen
You’re signed in but see no plans, or different ones
The session menu, which shows “Signed in as” and your email
Sign out and sign in with the method you used before. Then link the other method so either one works.
A plan you had is gone from the plan list
Archived plans, at the bottom of the sidebar
On Free, starting a new plan archives the current one. Premium opens and restores archived plans; see Free and Premium.
You see a plan named “Sample plan” and can’t change anything
Whether the header shows “Read-only sample”
Sign in from Sign in at the top of the planner.
Plans made on iPhone don’t appear on the web, or the reverse
That both are signed in with the same method
Web and iPhone sessions are separate; sign in on each. On iPhone, pull to refresh.
The session menu says “Temporary session”
Whether you ever signed in on this browser
Sign in to keep these plans. A temporary session can’t be recovered by email if the browser’s cookie is cleared.
Sign-in says the provider belongs to another account
Which method you first used with that Apple, Google or email identity
Sign in with that method instead. No plans were changed.
Sign-in keeps failing or the popup closes
Popup blockers and your connection
Allow popups for CoastMath and retry. A canceled sign-in changes nothing.

Signing in to a temporary session asks first whether to connect the new sign-in to its plans. If that sign-in already has an account, the temporary plans stay open in that browser and aren’t merged.

Sign out on all devices in the session menu ends every session for your account, on the web and on iPhone. Your plans stay saved. It’s unavailable while a save is in progress or has failed, so an unsaved change isn’t lost by accident; see When a change doesn’t save or results look stale.

If you still can’t find your plans, email support from the support page. Include every sign-in method and email address you might have used, whether you use the web, iPhone or both, and roughly when you last saw the plans. For a temporary session, include the support session code shown in the session menu.
